I've been watching a video series by James "Splitsuit" Sweeney, on how to correctly play 3bet pots, i.e. when your 3bet is called or 4bet.

He uses real-life hand examples and critiques them, where they went wrong, and how he would have made the correct +EV play, in concert with PokerStove and user stats.

I've been watching one of these videos every night while eating dinner, and my game seems to be picking up.

It's a 4-part video series, each video is about 30 minutes long, but I highly recommend them.

Yep, all of his videos are interesting and he also wrote a quite good book: "Dynamic Full Ring Poker: Beyond the Basics". Did you know that, Mr. Bear? :)

Hey, I'm not familiar with that book as I'm not a cash player, but I certainly will check it out if/once I get to that point. Thanks and paws up!

I love his videos, it sounds like you are being coached by Jonah Hill !

Aside from that, they are really, really good.

Yeah, I think his stuff is pretty decent for beginners. To just learn how to play tight and think about showdown value. It's good to get that part of your game solid. I'd recommend them for people trying to learn or playing full ring only. He's written articles for my newsletter in the past.

Once you get that down though, you want to think a little more 3-D about poker.
