Lol, but I do mix it up with some donk tendencies from time to time.

I found this definition online: A nit is a tight-passive player that avoids confrontations. Typically, the term nit is used when this type of passive player plays in a pot-limit or no-limit game. Nits tend to avoid big pots and do not like to gamble.

A nit is a player who:

  1. won't play a hand without very strong hole cards
  2. won't put alot of money in the pot postflop without a strong made hand.
Nits tend to be easily bluffed and pushed off hands and sometimes go broke with overpairs or TPTK because they fold so much preflop that once they get in a hand they sometimes have a hard time folding postflop even when it's obvious that they're beat.

Statistically speaking I think the borderline between Nit and TAG is a VPIP of 11 or so. Nits have smaller VPIP's, TAG's larger.

I would classify myself as a Nitty TAG with occasional spew problems or episodes of Nittiness. There are plenty of 6/5 Nits out there and I have never played that tight

So a Nit is a Passive tight. How do you know if the player is Tight agressive or tight passive when he doesn't play a hand for 10 orbits?

It would be more accurate to say a nit is a subtype of a tight passive player.

I don't think a "Rock" and a "Nit" are the same, though they are both tight passive overall.

Just wait till he plays a hand. If he's folding for 10 orbits then you don't really need to worry about them other than stealing their blinds.

Nits aren't weak tight. They are super tight but aggressive players.

A nit is a person whose motto is "You can never be too careful." You know that guy that IP checks a full house on the river.

Plays premium hands only pre -flop or maybe limps with pocket pairs

Although its hard to really define as it can work to be nitty or give off an image of being a nit and play back when somones constanly re-raising you

PPl make it sound like a negative thing , but if your playing against a few LAGS it can work
I suppose tho a nit doesn,t mix it up as well and just sticks to tight play which is easier to play against esp in tournies
