I've got 2

Yesterday in ring game.

One guy raises X2 the BB with AJ Spades.

3 people fold. I look at my cards and say "Im going to play these but I don't want it to be Obvious so I raise it to X3 the BB. It's me vs X2 raise vs Nobody.

Flop drops J 3 4 and there's only 1 spade. The X2 thinks for a minute and checks. Now I thought I should raise because im onto a hand here and could just take the pot but I check.

Turn card drops 2 of Spades. So Mr X2 raises X6 the Big blind. I re-raise to x12 the nobody folds. The x2 raises me all in. OK

I show 56

River is 4 of clubs.

Thanks for coming out!!!

What I liked about this was #1 I re-raised pre flop, hiding of what I might have.
#2 I checked the flop. Normally with 4 on a straight and only a jack sitting out there and the fact that I pre flop raise. It would be natural for me to lead out there.

#3 in his mind he is thinking hes got Top Pair, Straight draw and Flush draw. But only the flush draw was active going into the river :)

MY OTHER Story was Live at a Casino

I started with $100 and built it up to $300. I had been playing super super tight for a few hours. On one hand I pre flop raise 1,2 to $10 and get a call from a guy who talks like he plays poker all the time in the casino and knows everything.

Flop drops A 6 5 no flush draw. The PRO bets out $20 and I instantly raise to $50 it was one of those hands pre flop I just felt like THIS IS MY HAND. So after he bet I was pissed and just raised. He folds and shows AJ.

He asks me what I had and I was like "I dont know"

6 minutes pass and he still talking like he made the right move. Guess trying to convince himself. Then he asks again what did I have. I said 9 10 suited. He says "BULL ****" I said no for real that's what I had. He said "Noo way you play so tight for the last few hours theres no way." I said "Dude thats what I had, I was pissed when you raised so I just re raised." He was like "I still don't believe you, if you had 9 10 there you are the best poker i've seen."

Not that I care about his best poker player comment to me it was soo funny watching him try to figure out what was going on and believing that I had something stronger then his AJ.

It was fun!!

BTW im not careless to bluff I never bluff at the casino ever. Unless I bet out $10 pre flop and flop drops and its like 882 or something then ill throw out a bet. But I play ultra tight!

Whats the best plays you guys have had?:shakehand

Well.... I would have to say this is my worst poker play actually, a bit off topic but worth sharing. I remember before I ever got into poker, I was at work with my boss and I had always liked poker at it, was decent at it whenever i played. He said something about playing, and he offered his 1k paycheck to my $300 paycheck, play for paychecks. I declined obviously, but it made me curious what in the heck made him think he was so good he was willing to bet 3x the money. So I started learning from him, he had cashed 19k for 8th place in a $1k buyin tourney at the local casino. Well one night he says "Im going to the boat, leaving out early... Do u want to go with me?" I said sure, so we go to the casino and I have absolutely NO CLUE what im doing. To this day, I cant believe I won. I sit down and am calling hands like a donk, I look down at j6 of hearts. I know I was first to act, but other than that no idea where the position was. 1/2 NL Live casino game. Guy raises to I think it was $10, I call with J6h.... Flop Ah Jd Jc.... So I think hell yeah im good here right? I bet $25 and he raises to 50, I call..... turn is a heart. So im thinking ok I have 3 jacks and a flush draw, so I bet 75, and I had about another 100 behind.... he puts me all in, I snap call.... He shows AA..... I about shit, until the river Jack of spades hits.... Unfortunately I didnt hit the bad beat because both hole cards didnt play, but it was damn close. I raked in my $600+ pot and went on home....

To this day my favorite hand is J6 suited, I will occasionally get tricky with it in late position, and I seem to do well with it. I dont know how many times ive hit Jacks and 6's and my opponent just dumps off his stack with AJ to me ;)

There are many, but most exciting was when being dealt 72o in the BB and have a few limpers. On the flop 777 - I check the Villain after me moves all-in with 66 and the other calls with AA. This happen in pokerstars and I was very happy being so lucky. That`s why never limp with AA. If there was even a small bet I never would call preflop with 72o.
However I can not say this was a good play from me but very weak from my opponents.

A small pot became all in? I bet you abused the Zeebo theorem to the max. Good job.

Still, hardly a great "play" IMO. An epic call down with A high or bluff shoving river and winning would be more awesome.

I've made hundreds of sick calls online, I think my greatest call online was in a 50NL HU game facing an all in shove, called with J high because I felt like he had two smaller drawing hands based on history. Maybe it was dumb, and maybe I lose their 99% of the time, but going into the tank and somehow calling was absolutely sick.
My favorite call would have to be a live call on the river with A high at a brick and mortar casino, my very first time playing live. I had AK and the guy had KQ on a wet board. They couldn't figure out how I made the call but it seemed pretty standard to me. A weak played flatted the preflop raise, flatted the C-bet, checked the turn, then lead out with a donkbet on the river. This would a snap call online but because it was live I felt pretty good about it.

Actually I will say, I do have a great live story.... And it is one of my best poker plays... Late in a tournament, on the bubble. I hold KQc... We're on the bubble and everyones playing super tight. Im playing at a home game, 4 table $45 buyin paying 6 spots, 7 of us left. Im playing with a guy I nicknamed "diamond maker", Because he plays so freaking tight that if ya put a piece of coal in his ass he would make diamonds. Anyhow, we're in this hand and the flop comes out Ad 7c 6c.... I go ahead and bet half the pot, diamond maker calls. Turn is the Kh. So now I have 2nd pair, top kicker, with a nice flush draw. I bet about 2/3 the pot, and diamond maker calls, which at this point puts me on high alert. I immediately start thinking set or AK, so I get a bit weary. River comes the 2 of clubs, making my flush. I had about 36k and he had about 20k. I check the flush, knowing he will bet here. He shoves all in for his remaining 9k..... I just knew it, he has the ace high flush. It makes sense, he had the ace with the nut draw. I flip my cards up and fold, everyone loses their minds..... until he flips over Ac10c.... Best fold ive made, something I would rarely do in that situation, but when you're beat.... well you're beat. Went on to chop it heads up with him.

Mine was a hand in a live tournament. I had a TAG image, and I'm a 20 something female, so people expect me to play fairly straightforward. I missed everything, couldn't get one of the better players off the hand, it was a coordinated board with lots of possibilities for broadway hands. I had completely missed, there was one of the better players left, but I thought he just had a paired ace and the board was scary enough I decided to try and bluff him out of it. So I put in this large raise hoping to get him to fold, he sat there trying to decide whether or not to call. I waited about 30 sec and slowly sat back in my seat and let my hand shake a little. You know, the shake that usually means an inexperienced player has the nuts. He instafolded about 2 seconds later. Yay me!
