You're dealt 9h9s in late position at the final table, against solid players. You are just under average chip stack. Blinds are 200 / 400. It has been raised and re-raised to $1200 to you. You have $3300 in your stack. What would you do?
The reraise doesnt seem right, unless the first raiser was a min raise. So, if thats true then when it gets to you, the pot is at 2600. You're looking at a raise and reraise before you, so in order to call this raise you need to have an extremely strong hand. 99 is not the hand that you want to be calling a raise + reraise with. Not to mention that you dont have the stack to calling the raise with and your option is to shove with your hand because A) You're not getting set
odds to call and b) if you call and have to fold on the flop, you're at an even short stack and be forced to play
hands. So, your best option is too fold.
Let say you shove PF and only the 2 raisers call your all in (no one tries to isolate). The flop is is 2600 and you raise it to 3300, bringing the pot to 5900. The first raiser needs to call 2500 and is getting 2.3:1 odds to call. The second raiser needs to call 2100 into a pot of 8400, giving them 4:1 odds to call. Even if the first raiser folds, the second raiser is getting about 2.8:1 odds to call your shove, which means they can call with almost any decent hand. AK, AQ, AJ, A10, KQ, JQ possibly, even J10 might call. 88-AA. So, all your shove is doing is sweetening the pot. Had your stack been bigger, you might be able to get away with a squeeze play and isolate, but you just dont have the stack to do.
If you were up against 1 raiser, I think a shove here would be a decent play but not against 2. You are short stack compared to blinds and you have a pretty hand, but I think its best to lay it down and look for a better spot; not necessarily a better hand since you cant wait that long. Better situations might include shoving on the button to steal the blinds, or shoving in SB with any decent hand vs BB. K-high in SB for example. You'll have a better chance going HU vs a random hand than going up agaisnt 2 raisers.
ETA: Im assuming this is NL, so thats what is my response is for. I know nothing about limit.
