As far as cash games go. I play super tight, because I always get in them for around 100 to 200 dollars. Maybe 80 if my bankroll is low. But even so, I play tight. It works out for me most of the time. I really don't make alot of money, but I do make some, better than what I started with. I usually only play premium hands and I try not to chase down to many flushes or straights. What's your strategy? And any thoughts on how to make my game better.

I use a lot of intuition and bluff a lot. I play rarely small suited connectors in EP, but if I play, I play them aggressively. It depends so much on many factors. My most important rule is to quit early enough and continue later.

Thats a tough question to answer. I play 1/3 and its hard to see a flop for less than $15 most of the time. To go all the way down to the river is going to cost you. $50 pots are usually the minimum so if you only buy in with 80 you will need to wait on a hand.

The problem with that is if you are playing with good players, no one will ever call you because they know you've been waiting. You dont have to chase, per se but you can't just play AA KK AK. Try raising with 79H every now and then. If you hit and people see you as a tight player, its MUCH easier to get paid off when you hit that flop.

I don't know if you know about odds etc., But you should have a read and try chase some flushes if the odds are right. Try and get a good vpip/pfr as well as cbet percentage and it will help you win more with your good hands as people can see your range is wider than just super premium hands. That doesn't mean open with hands like 74o because you have a chance to hit something, but more just slightly less premium hands like JTs etc

I try to have fun. Play fairly loose against weak players and tighten up against regs. Dont play big pots without monster hands and rarely bluff. And yes I am profitable.

This is a strategy I used to use. My play is unique each time I sit down now. I do not have one style as it all depends on who I am playing against. I do not usually sit to play my cards, but yet the people at the table. You would be amazed how many hands you can win without even looking at your cards if you pay enough attention to the other players.

I seek to exploit each player independently from each other. When I have no information about players, I play fairly LAG by internet standards, which is pretty tight live.

I'm a more aggressive player, and my range is bigger! For tight players play frequently 3 bet . sometimes bluffing and doing all in! But it all depends on the opponents ' game.

I agree with all of you. I liked the idea of raising with 79H and seeing if I hit. Because I can get paid off more having an image that I can have basically any hand rather than them knowing I only play premium hands per se. And I play tight literally all the time. I mean I hardly lose playing the way I do, but I don't win a whole lot either. I can play for hours and only win 50-100 bucks. Most of the time it's up and down, up and down. But I think if I build a better image that I can play loose and still smash a flop. I can gradually make more money playing on the tables.

I'm not an expert so that's only my opinion of my experience ...in cash games ppl waiting for good cards so for me works that when I want to get involved in a hand I always raise and never just call to see a flop...that way I stop some how the opponent to bluff bet after flop or even if they got something and get then the chance to think (depend on my cards ) my next move

Depends do you play zoom(fast) or regular tables. For some years playing microstakes and took shots up to nl50 i can say very important thing in poker is skill of look and feel. That easier to do at regular tables, with exploit of your opponents. Look on obvious leaks of your opponents, like float with some strange sizings, timings, or action after loosing pots with maybe incoming tilt/bluff etc. You should dont be afraid to play some pots till river just to see information of hand of your opponent, it will help you in future hands, and you also should think about balancing your action and always ask yourself do your opponents can balance that airbluff/valuebet things too and make some calls with Ace/K/Q high hands in float spots. In simple words, the best way to win in poker cash games is just to sit on tables with players that you think you have advantage on them and you see obvious leaks onto timings/bets etc. So my strat is play exploit game depending on stakes then your open/defend/steal range is changing, depending on players at the tables. Good luck

I agree with both of you guys. And I usually play regular speed tables. Most of the time it's 1/2 nl or 2/5. But I like the regular speed games only because I feel like people play more seriously and chase cards less. I don't like when people chase down a backdoor flush draw from the flop. They have little chance and they don't care so they'll go all the way even if I'm getting big amounts. I've lost alot of hands that way. I've also lost alot of hands when having the nuts, and I would lose to a boat. My flush card would be his boat card. The odds are crazy, but it happens. What's important to me, is that when I lose hands like that, to not go on tilt and just lose my mind. Most of the time I can get my money back by playing tight and throwing in a bluff of I know he doesn't got it. But that backfires sometimes too. I really don't like tournaments that have small levels and the blinds move up quick. It's tough because you have to come up early on order to survive later.

To not play them at all honestly. I have had bad experiences with so I just stick to tournaments.

My strategy is to win.. heh, it just doesn't always happen.
I think it all depends on who you are playing against and stack sizes, but I try to play tight and just look for spots to get my money in good. Also try to stop myself from going on tilt, as I seem to let that happen way too easily.

Well, I have noticed my best strategy is try not to be focus just on the game, that relax me a lot, play as if Im not interested and play onl great looking hands. When I make myself to play like this, I have a great day , but. if I instead of the get so focvus on the game that I get really stree, I better not play because I will be out of any cash game in about five minutes haha :D
