What is your range whilst in early position, middle position and late position?

From early pos I am playing 7% of hands
middle position playing 17%
and in late position playing about 34%.

How does this compare to other players?

Taking for granted this is your raising range when first in...why such a short range from MP Mase?

In poker stove if you play all pairs you are not playing all broadway with 11%, even some suited connectors like 87, 76 or 65 must be worth a raise from MP when you're first in?

Am interested in the reasons for a smallish range.

Those were just overall stats, but it's basically the same if unopened in MP.

I don't like being oop, so I keep a fairly tight range until I'm later. I'd much rather 3bet 7:club:6:club: from the CO or button than raise with it in MP. I'd also definitely prefer raising 7:club:6:club: in MP over K:heart:Q:club: or A:diamond:T:spade:. Of course table dynamics vary and sometimes I'd be pumped to put money in with those hands, but on average no.

As far as broadways, I'm folding tons of them in MP. Lot of people I'm playing with are going to be real hard to deal with postflop when they have position. Also their range basically consists or either hands that dominate weak broadway hands, or that will put me in a RIO spot. Once that happens, I'm winning small pots and losing the bigger ones, so I just pass on the spot altogether.

in turbo tournies i tend to play alot of hands early when the blinds are low. I try to get ahead before the blinds get big.

i certainly know what you mean about the trappy weak broadways (trap you not your opponent). Top pair with QJ versus 2 callers is not a comfortable pair by any means. I guess I rely on my cbet post flop and then take it from there. But I will experiment with my hand selection there and maybe cut down the broadways. Those that I keep I will be looking for 2pr or better or big draws.

Thanks for the input Cntry, but its a cash game question really!! :)
