Won $1 in a FunStep and went straight to 2FL....Once I got to $1.20 I jumped onto 2NL. Played very well for awhile...until this. Should I have check-raised the flop larger? Was my .95 turn bet sufficient? I guess not.

Ah damn you probably cant read that....

PREFLOP:
I had 10-10
Rando had 76s

I raise to .11, he calls

FLOP:
I check, he bets .26, I raise to .52

TURN:
I bet .95, he shoves, I snap call

RIVER:
he rivers a straight and takes approx $8.....I'm busto once again.

i think i would have shoved on the flop after the reraise. it's a tough decision, though... if 7 9 is in his range it's just unlucky, but not as painful as that.

What you seem to be doing wrong is putting too much emphasis on results. There are times when playing hands well or even absolutely optimally leads to losing money, sometimes more money that if you had taken worse lines.

You could have played this hand somewhat differently, but if you're trying to figure out how you could have won it, you're too focused on the result. You got it in as a solid favorite. Where's the problem?

If it's your whole bankroll, there is no excuse whatsoever for playing with more than $2 at a 2nl table.

But I would imagine it's hard not to be results oriented when your whole roll is on the table :)

lets be honest, when my bankroll is less than the max buyin at 2NL bankroll management is not on my list of concerns.
