Hey pokersharks.
Say I have pocket 2's and raise first in the cutoff in a 6max game. I get 3bet from SB who has a 3bet% of roughly 5%.
I put these stats into equilab and it says open raising with this hand has 40% equity vs a 3bet of 5%. Is this a call, or is it too loose?
Or should I play with hands pre flop that have at least 45% equity when getting 3bet with a 5% range.

Cheers guys.

Hi.

If you are deep then flatting is the correct play imo.Set mining IP is too profitable there.
But if you aren't deep then I prefer folding. You have too small fold equity and at the best you are flipping witch I don't thing is profitable.
So call if you are deep and fold if not.

You don't think it with equity, but with implied odds multiplier. Google: “poker rule of 20”. Essentially the same than @nucl says.

I treat with distrust to 3bet from SB, BB, But they should not be underestimated. Fold or Call will not be here an error. In half of the cases - Call, in half - Fold
