re: Poker & What do you do?
It would be great if we had any history on villain even if it was a couple of hands. Without knowing how much villain thinks it becomes a hard decision.
With a decent player on that river when you push you are mostly only going to get called by a better hand. A lot of the draws hit on the turn or river so your bluffing range has to be small compared to your value range. So by shoving all in you would essentially turning your hand into a bluff. In that case I would check the river. If he bets all in on the river once again you are put into a tough spot. But, at least by checking you are giving him a chance to bluff or try to value bet where he should not. Folding would be really hard because of the pot odds
you are getting.
My above decision making process is only for a thinking player. This guy does not sound to good and especially after seeing what hand he showed up with. I would still probably check call to encourage a desperation bluff or a bad value bet.
