Cash games or also known as ring games are when you sit down with a specific amount of money at a Stake that is consistent, and dictated by the regularity of of the blinds. Examples would be 1/2, 2/5, 5/10.... this means the blinds are always and dictated in the title, and each chip in your stack is worth a spasific amount....

In tournaments your buy in goes into a pool, after the house takes thier cut, and is divided up over the top 10% of the remain field.... you play till your chips are gone, and whoever collects all the chips wins the largest prize.... this means we dictate chip value or worth based off a theory called ICM or (Idependent Chip Model).... this is how we dictate our range of play, and actions based off equity....

in the cash game game you play only the money or you will be betting the money that is in the account if you go all-in and lose you will have to pay the same value if you want to continue in the table, already the tournaments and thus you pay only the value of the entrance and receives in chips to play if you lose only lose the value you paid to register in the tournament and can no longer play the tournament in progress because you already have participation of the same, more can play in others of the same type and etc. .

Cash games have less variance, since you always have lots of blinds, while tournaments involve a lot more variance, since your quantity of blinds varies a lot

cash games; pay the price which transforms into chips; you can play forever but you can also leave the next second if you want. tournament: you pay the price and have to play until it ends which can mean a couple of hours or until you bust.

The cash game is a more closed and solid game and with less variance, while in the tournaments you can go last with 1 bb and even then you can end up winning the tournament, in the cash does not pass. While in a tournament you can win 100 buy-in with 1 alone in 6-10 hours, at a cash table you will need much more than that and luck. There are many things, nor are the strategies the same
