WHAT AM I DOING WRONG??? I NEED YOUR HELP

Hello all I would first like to say that I cant seem to find where I am going wrong . I have been playing poker for some time now cashing out from pokerstars and bodog for some time now but I have a problem I think with bankroll management.

Ok so heres my routine. I first deposit 100$ to both bodog and pokerstars my name at bodog is starberry12 I will not tell on stars. I just started on march with bodog and turned that 100$ into 600$ in a matter of 2 days playing 1/2 limit holdem 10 handed and 6 handed this is routine for me so I hit the cashout button for my 600$ now left with no online bankroll . so in between wating for my check bodog gives me a free 109t$ for my first month of great play .. so i take that and play mtt. I placed 5th in the 3k guaranteed for 200$ then I played the 1.5k guaranteed for 5th again and took 100 i believe . so im sitting on 300$ with about 68$T left from playing many Mtt. I end up blowing my whole 300$ playing 2/4 limit holdem 10 handed over a period of about 5 hours straight seeing close to 3200 hands where did I go wrong I need tips for what I should have done. also in Mtt gaining chips early on is easy just the late stages "final table" is the toughest for me .. In the 3k tournament we were 5 handed and I was delt kings with 174k chips so I limp under gun , guy behind me raises to 12.5k with blinds being 2k and 4k he has been rasing with ace rag alot because 4 hands earlier he made it 12.5k and I shoved with my jacks and doubled up. well this time I shoved and he had about 172 k I stacked him off he had aces flop comes 444 turn a king river 4 . hurt very bad.

Short answer?

You are playing way above your bankroll.

As Toad said, you are playing at too high limits for your bankroll. So while you may get great runs of cards and be up a huge profit, you don't have enough to survive the downswings where you're getting cold cards and are up against some good players.

at 2-4 limit you want at least 800 and if your are relying on that money at end of the month you want over 1000 bb with would mean 4000 to play at that limit if your not reyling o it rule of thumb is 200-500bb which is 800-2000 and you are relying on that you want 1000-2000bb which is 4000-8000 be patient and play in your bankroll and it will all work out sooner or later youll be at a place were youll be able to 3-4 table 10-20 limit or higher and make a decent income but for now grind away at it.

Same applies for live games as well most of my experince is live at the south florida or tampa hardrock casino I have just ventured into online play which is a different beast becuase you see so many hands an hour expecally if you muilti tabling.

Thank you guys for your post and I will try somthing different .. I am getting my first deposit bonus from bodog which is 50$ and I will apply what chris does using his method in limit poker.. which means if Im playing limit im going to start out with 2.50 at the lowest limit there is maybe .5/.10 I am a really good player and this might work for me I guess patience will help me here . thanks alot I will tell all how this works.. see you at 10grand

You run up $100 to $600 at 1/2 and cash out.

Get bonus tournie dollars, play mtts and win some.

All good so far.

Then you blow it all at 2-4

Why the 2-4 when you have shown you can win at 1-2?

At 2-4 i would be sitting down with $400 and holding back at least 3-4 buyins.

You say you have been playing some time so you should know by now that the sites are rigged! Once you cash you especially get targeted. Why would you cash out so soon after 2 days of winnings did you think you were going to have a meltdown? Reality check for all you that beleive online poker is fair!

Your total bankroll is $300, and you decide to 10? table 2/4 limit and then wonder why you go busto? (3,200 hands in 5 hours is roughly 8 to 10 tables).

You're joking right?

Even the very best players in the world have swings, you need enough of a bankroll to handle those swings without going broke.

thanks for the replys when it comes to the amount of hand I have seen thats what it shows me in the little window at my table at bodog says currnet session time start and hands played mine being at 3000 + see what I mean this is at one table .. as for when I cash out things change this is very true things were not the same on my cash games but my tournaments wins increased .. I dont know why but I cant seem to crack the 1/2 game anymore maybe due to cash out.. weird. I seem to have hands that should hold fail me almost always now . My 2 pair or set or even a straight to a flush this is a bad run or somthing s going on.

I ok I dont know much about bankroll mangerment but what i can say is this.. I just downloaded this think called POKER WINGMAN PRO.. Because im new i need all the help i can get.. It has the very cool tool that cames with it called bankroll manger.. all you do is tell it what you bankroll is and how much its going to cost you to play and it tells you.. to play of find a new game its simple.. give it a try and see if it will help.. its free to download but if you want to up grade to the PRO its $34.95US which is not to bad i think..
