+1 to the note pad on the smart phone.... That's what I used for the tourny last night which was my first there in a long time though i've been sharpening up online. I recorded: date, BI $25, entrants 28, starting chips $20k, my finish place 16/28, and my last hand (as this will sum up your event haha)
This game was UBER LAG, people raising 10xbb with 4 6 off, and callers of 4 5 off, really sick game. I just laid back and watched it all go down. after missing a few flops and not wanting to throw down, i finally caught AQs and shoved for a triple up right before the 1st break. 2nd hour cards went friggin dead and I couldn't get into a pot to make a move or steal blinds on the tighter players cause every pot was raised 10xbb preflop by aggrodonks haha. Just before the 2nd break (blinds escalating quickly 1k/2k now) I caught AJs, UTG had raised 3xbb and I shoved on him the first hand i've played practically the whole hour, I had a little over 20k which i thought was enough FE for him to lay down his Ace rag, but no... he calls with A 8, which im happy about, I want them to make that call, but I got unlucky on the flop and he flopped two pair Aces and 8's and I couldn't run him down to save my ass
If there's one thing I know about poker... you can not beat LUCK... so better luck next time right?
@jonny- I would like to be a little more in detail when playing cash there. An app for smartphone would be friggin sweet! I have
iphone, so android app of your friends wouldn't work out for me unfortunately but it sounds sweet! But it would be nice to be able to keep stats like vpip/bb100/#ofhands (maybe hourly average?)/etc.
Found out they're running $1/$2 NLcap for the main game now, $60min/$200max with a $400cap. Makes my $300 bank a little more risky with only about 5BI of $60. Usually there's only one table goin on, but i've seen 2-3 in the past. Hopin to catch a decent tournament win there and build my roll to 500$ before I jump into that game
