Do you think that warming up before a tournament is a good strategy, or a bad one, and why?

I think for me it depends on how much I have been playing lately. If i havn't played a game in days, then warming up seems reasonable to get back in the rhythm and flow of poker, but if I have been playing alot then it is best to jump in.

Sounds reasonable, with me it usually depends on my schedule.

I find I do better when I'm fresh. If I play for longer periods of time, I get sort of bogged down, and my play slips (mostly from boredom). So for me, I would say no, it's not better to warm-up (but it may be for others).

I find that it depends on the site...each has a different feel and look so I try and get an hour or so play on the site.

I haven't been playing much lately. I've been reading too much and as a result am really off my game. I've just scratched the top of the iceburg and as a result my confidence level has gone down.

I am beginning to think that learning computer programming would be quicker. <unsure what type of smiles to insert here>
