With which cards do you defend the big blind from the small blind? What hands do you do 3-bet, with which hands - Call, and with which - Fold?

I know that a lot depends on the type of player who is in the small blind, but I would like to know your standard game lines in this situation.

If you have active SB, you can defend 50% of hands =) So the answer goes -> you can defend anykinds. Given you have position and assuming 10NL or under, you can 3bet or just call with almost the whole range, but like always default rules stands for good poker.

That said, most are not active, but nit from SB so there is not much difference between positions SB or UTG.

I don't have a preset strategy for anything, in poker or in life.

There are a lot of factors for this. I prefer to play intuitively.

Small pair like 44 55 33 ,T9 89 TJ and of course that AK AQAJ are good hands to defend the big blind.

In a tournament in the final instances, defending or trying to keep the blinds is very important

against a small blind I defend 70% of the hands. It does not matter which player.

I’ve found limping with a very wide range to be the play BvB. Less likely to get punished if they out stack you by a ton.

I defense my blind against aggressive players with minimum range hand or Better.
