I'm doing an excel sheet on rake / hands / VPPs earned. I hope to create a sheet that will calculate all the rewards and winnings based on hours, tables, BB/100 input...

I can't seem to get it to match the pokerstars own calculator. My sheet uses my data for rake of $98/24000 @ 5nl 6 max.

I wonder if people with a large number of hands at 5nl and 10nl 6max could tell me their rake/hand ratio?

I'll be happy to send the completed sheet to anyone interested.

Thanks

bronze at the moment, I haven't been playing much. Does that effect the rake taken? I know it affects the VPP multiplier.

No affect on rake, only limits and pot size have impact on rake, and would be an FPP multiplier, there is no VPP multiplier (they don't want to make it too easy to keep the higher status once you get it).

Sorry yes I meant FPP multiplier, and yes headstroman I see they have a calculator, I just want to make my own so I can play around with other variables, like projected winnings + bonuses. I guess I can adjust my rake amount to match their calculator.

is there a considerable gap for the difference? Have never used their calculater to be honest and can't access from my work, so curious as to the difference. Possible something is off with your calculation formula's, again not sure if you are calculating out your rake based on a formula or perhaps pulling it from a tracking software?

Actually there is kinda a VPP multiplier, based on level - for every $1 rake you get 10 VPP @ 2nl, 8.5VPP @ 5nl, and 7 VPP @ 10nl...doesn't say what happens after this

I calculate my rake based on tracking software and sample wasn't very big, I got 0.00408 @ 5nl 6 max. I adjusted this to 0.0046 as a base figure and this seems to be almost right.

Rake per hand depends on style of play, they probably have the average value in the calculator.
