Vote for what you want to be discussed this week. Here are the selections :

1) Cbeting or not cbeting/delayed cbet.

2) Hand ranges.

3) Exploiting different opponent types from different positions.

4) Betsizing considerations in maximizing value.

Remember to continue making new suggestions for topics so that we can continue to have more discussions.

I like the betsizing option, and feel like (at least from my observation and micro and low stakes) it is a lost art that is costing players a lot of money. I would love to contribute in this topic. I also like the C-Bet option, but feel value bets may be a more important topic to discuss.

All good topics -- I opt for bet sizing for Max Val (I'm a Max Val Min Risk kinda gal :p).

I'm finding I'm more dependent on betting patterns online than IRL so unsure if that would be a separate topic or inclusive with the above?

I vote for whatever the one writing valuable content wants to post about.

This is a good point - marginal, once the topic is selected, how does it get kicked off?

I suggest getting a volunteer or drafting someone who's already put some thought into the topic, otherwise there'll either be a huge burden on you to kick off the discussions every week or it may not kick off.

Kickoff posts might be from the standpoint of an expert, or from the standpoint of a series of well thought out questions/issues involved in the topic.

Or is that too structured/top down?

I was actually thinking about this a lot, I was kinda thinking that the person who suggested it should start the thread but I was not 100% sure on this. Getting a volunteer would be great to start up the threads.

LOL, anybody care to volunteer?

LOL, I'll volunteer for the first one if one of the topics I proposed is chosen - fwiw I like the idea of the proposer being the one who kicks things off.

Just a suggestion, but maybe the proposer could draft the kickoff post and pm it to you before posting for feedback from you? Some people may be uncomfortable kicking off the topic, this may give them a shot of confidence before posting?

having discussion about the different opponents is needed. since betting to some different kind of people is so different and do they are calling the bets and at river i got suck out. Let give my example, I got kj(s) at button and my oppn at sb, i raised the pot and all folds expect him, flop hits K Q 7 and he checks, i bet 2/3 pot , he calls
and the turn 3 ( no chance of drawing flush i am sure) and i bet again this time also the same kind of betting and he calls this too, and river is A i am really upset by his calling this time also he checks and followed by me, HE SHOWED AQ(damn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)... wht type of betting style should i have to follow for this.

I think its pretty fair that the person that suggested the topic should start the thread.
Doesnt have to be something super advanced just random thoughts/questions on the topic and some clue to the general direction he wises the discusion to go to.

Also maybe adding this to the OP of the suggestion thread would be a good idea.
That way if some one doesnt want to start the thread he can say so.

I can help out too. I`ll check back later (when do we decide?) to see what topic got chosen and whip up some stuff.

I figure a good way to do this is have several volunteers/contributors per topic, we each write a little mini article thang and others can discuss.

Voting hand ranges because it annoys me how often they're overlooked here ("...he raised from late position preflop so I put him on Aces...").

I'm cool with that and like both suggestions from Chuck and Sindri.

PMed Dakota to edit it into the op of the other threads so it should be up in less than 2 nano seconds.

I think a weekly thread is a little bit tough. I'd rather see a "Monthly Micro-Limit Concept #1" type thread, with a solid reg writing a blurb to get things started, and then answer questions.

The similar threads on 2+2 were pretty cool, but it was just too tough to make it a weekly thing.

Also, a lot of these topics have already been covered better than we'll cover it. So like, I feel a little silly talking about barreling when there's already a ton of good articles out there about it.

I voted for hand ranges this time, but would love to see more on all of them. I'm new to poker...starting my 6th month now...but I am a very quick learner. I want to learn all I can to be a winning player most of the time.:D Thanks for the poll.:)

Important topics all of them, impossible to rank them.
Don't know if i have much to contribute (other than stupid questions) but will definitely follow the thread with interest!

cant wait for these to start, this is a great idea and will probs help me alot. i voted for bet sizing/max value cause i think thats my weakest point of the four although i need help with all of them. just a question, is this gonna cover low,mid or high stakes? i need micro low help. i guess if your playin high stakes then you dont need help on these things huh?

If its directed at an audience other than microstakes, then these threads would be pointless.

I'm a little sad that 'when to fold AA preflop wasn't out there. "Guys, the whole table went all in, I'm in the big blind and I got the rockets. I'm getting 8:1 on my money and know I have the best of it right now. What should I do?"

I do like the suggestions out there though. This time I voted for bet sizing, but it occured to me I don't really need a discussion on that, I think it's something I do appropriately. I wouldn't object to discussing it though. I'm just a self-motivated self-centered person that way.

Sheesh.
