OK.

I'm gonna put my neck on the Cards Chat block and ask for some assistance from you cash game experts.

You see, I suffer from the problem of thinking that I'm an OK player, not good, but OK when really I'm probably just bad. Look, I'll just admit it: I can't beat $2NL. I'm ashamed to admit it but it is true, I have a -2BB/100 over approx 50,000 hands. Not a huge sample but enough I'm sure to know I'm doing something wrong. I admit, in the last month I have really overhauled my game and concentrated on strong positional play, blind stealing and blind defence (opponent specific) and have played a more strategic game which looking at my results in these areas has paid off. But somewhere I am still leaking big time.

What I want to do is open up no more than say 4 tables and a play session and record it whilst I talk through my decisions and then if anyone would be king enough to let me email it to them to watch and critique I'd be very grateful.

Thanks!

Yeah why not!

Could be interesting. I play full handed cash games so my advice would obviously be far more valuable if you do too!

I make >10BB/100 6 tabling at 2NL and beat 5NL easily. I cant guarantee perfect advice but we can easily get you over the hump!

I just pulled up my last 25k hands of 2NL and I'm beating it for 33.01 bb/100 (LOL) Obv. thats REALLY high. And alot of it is probably because I was on a heater or something. But I can proly offer some good advice for those stakes. I play 6-max. So...

And hey, there isnt ANYTHING to be ashamed of!
So what you cant beat 2nl. Your taking the necessary steps in order to make sure you can beat it in the future.
Who can knock that?

PM me with your email. I have some good reading material for you too.

Why not just post a thread with the video, that way you can get many different perspectives.

I would have suggested YouTube as an option but one table is max really especially if you want to show a HUD and have it readable.

You can also set up 4 tables and use cam studio set to the size of one table and drag it around the screen as you play to show hands of interest. This also massively cuts down the filesize.

Yeah, post it in the videos section and people will download it and comment. There are stickies there that can help with the compression/uploading aspects.

Post a thread with a video, and then send me the hands so I can pull them up with the HEM replayer and make a response video.

Do this, I mean it. The offer is an amazing one and it will help you much more than just posting the video.

DF is right - I'm going to do a video this week and C9's idea about the Hand Histories is a great one.
Also, I'm arranging a sweat session with a CCer too so that should be a help.

Honestly, I can say without irony this is my best thread ever! I'm loving the input people are putting into and the time out you're all offering.

$2NL - in the words of Ivan Drago "I must break you"

Just to keep this alive - I'm still doing my video this weekend. Will probably do two, one playing 4 tables and one playing 2 tables. Not entirely sure how clear the vids will be if 4 tabling so will do the 2 table option as well.

C9 - i'll send you the hand histories as you say and if you're still happy to load them into your HEM and make a response video that would be brilliant.

What are you using to record the screen? I have camtasia and have had no problems with it. I would also like to watch this video and see what I can offer.

Thanks SP, appreciate your offer of help.

Yep, used Camtasia too. Really annoying as I wanted to post it tonight - looks like i'll need to re-record a new one.

I'd split it into 10 minute sections and label them accordingly and put them on youtube or something (1/5, 2/5, 3/5 etc) Although I am now realizing this would help potential opponents though, so scratch that idea.

Ok, the video is buggered. God knows why. Was an interseting session too. Wondering if it was maybe too long as it was 70mins?

Anyway, will do one tonight in two 30 mins sections and see if that is any better.
