Hi all! Playing recently in cash, completion of the challenges on PS, I wondered, for you how useful the skills obtained in tournaments when playing in cash games and vice versa? What is the main difference in adapting from game to game (cash/mtt to mtt/cash)? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Hello, the CASH player is more aggressive than the tournament player, in the tournaments the players take care of their stack

I have recently made this transition and mostly notice the difference in hands that are followed up preflop (hands that seem strong in a tourney for some reason do not have that same edge in cash, so it becomes much harder to shove opponents away from the pot with a top pair as they are more willing to see the community cards). Also I feel that it is usually unlikely to see 3-bets and 4-bets preflop as more players will be playing hands that currently are worthless but have a lot of potential.

Another difference in style is the caution of players; I notice that instead of shoving all in or 3-bet on the river, players seem more likely to just call or check even though they basically have the nuts. Not too sure why and I’m still very new to cash games, this is just the differences that I feel i’m Picking up :)
