I started a topic like this in the general thredd but didnt get any responses. Hoping putting it here will help.....

I know many use Poker Tracker to track progress in playing. I want to use softward like that as well but I use 4 or 5 computers between home and other locations to play online and it becomes a hassle to tey and move all of the data around.

Long story short I am interested in using an online resorce for this.

Can anyone suggest something good and obviously secure

Thanks

Why don't you just get a portable hard drive instead?
Not only are most of the shared data mined sites not allowed, but their accuracy is somewhat questionable as well.

I think you got no responses because nobody else has this unique situation.

Poker Tracker is fine with you using PT3 on a home based network, meaning all the pc's in your house could use the same database. But you are a traveler it seems and that makes your wants, at this time, unique.

I think your problem will come because it sounds like the computers you are using elsewhere may not be you own computers. It it was you own laptop, then syncing the laptop to your home computer wouldn't be so much of a bummer, but if you are using somebody ease's computer, or maybe one at work, you can't be spreading your copy of PT to somebody else's PC.

Try the Poker Tracker Forums, you would likely find a solution if one exists, there.

Or try AG's excellent solution.

Depending on the size of your database, a good USB memory stick might be even easier to tote around.

Use caution, as AG said. Most larger sites do not allow online tracking and can detect it's use. It puts your account at risk.

You might want to check the site Terms of Service or their list of prohibited programs first.

Thanks for the responses guys....

I think I was unclear in this thread. In the other thread I mentioned that I wanted to track my earnings and loses, win streaks, types of games and what buyins and times played. That was a small but crucial detail that I left out of this thread.

That said, are the responses given here already, still the best?

Sites like Free Web-Based Poker Software - PokerTracking.com and ProPokerTools.com - Serious tools for serious players are what I had in mind

Actually, I would be in favor of a ban of tracking programs. It's poker not computer programming. But then again, maybe I'm just old and crusty, lol.

I find that at low stakes tables 7 out of 9 players are labeled fish so what's the point. I just make my reads and play the old fashion way.

That's one of the reasons I play at Carbon. No pokertracker there. I have it but don't use it. On Carbon, nobody can use it against me.

I personaly dont like Holdem manager or the other hand trackers. i have tried them for a few months and just cant stand it. i cant see the whole screne when i have the current table thing going so can tell how many chips people have. also i never was able to really figure it out so i was not able to improve my game at all.
