Assuming we are talking a decent number of hands, then maintaining your BR shows you have a decent grasp of the game. Before you change your game, my advice is to read what you can (here and elsewhere) about variance. There is a lot more to variance than 'things go up and down' or 'sometimes AA will lose to 72'. I started a thread a few weeks back on variance that might make a good starting point - though there is plenty more out there that will explain the concept and how it impacts on your play.

Sample size.

Over a few thousand hands anything can happen, play 10k or so before you pay much attention to the results and don't take even those results too seriously until you've got a bigger sample.

Okay, those things happen- you need to get over that because that will even out.

What about the other hands?
What about the hands where you don't get drawn out on but instead lose 5bb, or 15bb, or 30bb but not your stack?

Pay attention to the little spots. I just had a big stupid downswing, mostly blamed it on "variance" but as I looked at the hands I played there was a lot of bad poker in the mix too.

If you can play solid poker the bad beats wont matter over the long term. plug the little leaks because that is where the major losses occur even if its just 8bb at a time.

Fix leaks. This usually involves posting hands in hand analysis forumzzzz.

I am in a similar situation.

Been flat for the last 3 months, with some ups and downs there. Can't seem to get pass my peak winnings. Would have a string of strong sessions in a row, only to have a bad day and lose 3 or 4 buy ins.

My prob's tilting and getting too aggressive. I still get my money in there ahead most of the time, but at maybe 2:1 or 1.5:1 instead of higher odds of holding up. And when things go bad they go downhill for me.

Knowing the prob is one thing, fixing it is another.
