Every once in a while I discover, about two or three hands into a game, that I've mistakenly bought into a $500 chip game. I usually discover this when I look down to see my stack, expecting it to be in the $1,400 range more or less and see, GASP! $350. So I try to remember how I could have made so many loose calls in such a short time. Of course, I didn't. So I look around and no one has more than $800 chips. Well, my question is how do you handle such a short stacked tourney, IF YOU DIDN'T REALIZE YOU BOUGHT IN TO IT AND/OR IF YOU INTENTIONALLY BOUGHT IN TO IT?
Now, I have intentionally bought into $1,500 chip tourneys with HORRIBLE structures (O'Shea's, lol) but even tho those blinds climb fast, I have enough chips to see a couple flops without leaving myself almost broke. Anyone have any clues? Do I play these short chips like those horribly structured tournies or is there another approach (I HOPE)
