Just wondering if theres a better way to play this hand or not?
K10... you end up with a straight on the turn and bet twice the pot trying to force your opponent out.
he calls his set then rivers the full house. arrgh! :) perhaps i'm thinking i should 3 times the pot to give them worse odds... I was in position of the villain as well. stack size similar.

unfortunately i didn't put him on the book and fell short.

flop was 9c 5s Qd turn was Jc

villain limped in UTG

Then again analyzing the hand he didn't know i had a straight. The only thing he did wrong i guess was his hand reading. I knew my straight was good on the turn.
But i think there was no way he was going to fold his set not seeing the board. microstakes for you :)

There just really isnt enough information to help you here;
What's the stake?
What was the potsize?
What did he do pre-flop and on the flop?
Have you got any stats on him?

Yes, we need more info.

I wouldn't be specifically trying to get him to fold the turn per se, Bet for value - bet as much as you think he will call. Hell if you are 100% sure he has a set just shove if you think he will call.

I knew my straight was good on the turn.

Given that at that specific moment in the hand it was the nuts I would bloomin well hope so.

Don't see why he should fold his set. Also, you have the nuts, you should never be betting so he folds. That's just dumb. You want value from your good hands.
