I think I would need more of a scenario to make a comment. There are many factors I am usually thinking about. Why do you ask? The specificity of a strategy at the turn makes me think it is based on a specific hand. Did something happen in a game you were playing? Could you try to re-construct what happened?

re: Poker & turn
You have to analyze what the other players did, if they increased the bets, if they just checked, and especially which card is on the turn. If it is a high card (J, Q, K or A) and you do not have any of them on the flop I usually bet half the pot or the pot. If the turn card forms a pair, I bet at least 2bb. Ai implies that you have a three of a kind or a possible full house. But there is luck, because there are many players who pay the bets up the river. It has happened that I try to bluff with 2-3 in the hand and lose a lot of money because of the person insisting on paying everything, until thought, and winning with a low pair.

When deciding a move with a weak hand, analyze your opponents fold potential . C bets are so common now that it can be a hard decision to make.
