Ive been trying to improve my cash game. Im two tabeling only the 0.05/0.10 9 person cash table at FT. Ive tried the 3 tabling but was over my head but I do feel comfortable with the two tabeling that I can concentrate on both.

After 16 sessions which is approximately 1,000 hands. I have 10 winning sessions but am down about $15. I know this is not alot of hands but with family I cant play as much as many of you on here.

When I'm winning I have no problem gettin up from the table and leave knowing I'm up. But on the other hand when I'm losing I feel determined that I can come back or double up. Usually what happens is I lose my entire $10.

Have you guys ever struggles with the same or do you have a set amount that youre going to win or lose before you leave.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Oh yeah. That's one of the reasons that I lose a lot of money. I think that I can win after lose a hand...
The only thing you should do is control yourself and leave when you lose.

You cannot think in terms of sessions. Cash games have two relevant divisions: a single hand, and your whole poker career.

Disagree, Belgo.

Sessions define themselves because the hands within that period of time are connected by similar emotions/alertness/degree of tilt, ect, so we can look at sessions and compare them to look at what situations work better for us and which are worse for us. Do we play better in the evenings after work, or on the weekends during the day? Better in fewer longer sessions, or shorter more frequent sessions?

When I play Cash session, I decide in advance how many buyins I will max. lose in the session, and I try to stick to it.

Anyway I do have set the goal for the max loss, and afterwards I can blame myself for not sticking to my rules, and then LEARN from it, ...so maybe next time I will stick to the rules I make for myself. :)

Correct, but what belgo was referring to I believe was that you can not use an amount of winnings or losses per session to determine how long you play. So i'd say your both right:cool:

Play for either a set amount of hands per table (this will correlate to time as hands per hour are fairly regular).

Play more tables.

I had great trouble multi-tabling to begin with. You will find it easier if you tighten up.

What are your stats?

Keep a the multi-tabling it is important and will come with practice.
