Is this true

Is it true when Phil hellmuth plays high stakes cash games online the lines run for days? Is he really that bad or are people just eager to him because he's that bad at them? What are some of the plays which he makes which are defined as terrible for a cash game? Just interested because i just read this somewhere. Anyone who has seen this firsthand please post and enlighten me.

I look at my post and the last part of the first sentence makes no sense whatsoever what happens when you post when tired. However, is there any truth to what i stated?

he is shit at cash but lines running for days maybe a bit of a pisstake..

watch him in any tv cash game (the big game etc), he advocates playing tight aggressive then turns loose passive preflop in most of the hands he's in.

and he spazzes post-flop.

he does run bad, but some of those spots he shouldn't have been in imo.

While Hellmuth isn't at the level of the top cash game players, it's probably a gross exaggeration to call him shit. I'd guess that he's a better cash player than the previous poster and all or nearly all the CC regulars.

obv i mean compared to the standards of the players at the stakes he plays at..

shit is an exaggeration, I assumed this would be taken in context, especially by you Arjonius.

do I play anywhere near that high? no, and I never said I was better so I don't see why I'm being compared.

and does anyone disagree at cash he makes plays which are completely nonstandard? which put him in spots that he doesn't need to be in.

tbh I like phil, I just don't think he's set up for cash imo.

My, my. Kinda touchy, are we? The full context seems to be not just that he's not at the level of top cash players, but also that he's probably still above the level of CC's members. In case it's not obvious, that includes me. So to any extent I put you down, I did so to myself as well.

That said, I've never understood why some people feel the need to denigrate players who are far more accomplished (and presumably better) than they are. Care to explain?

And fwiw, I'm not a Phil fan.

POKER MINIMUS had a few high roller events

For those of you who remember back in the day Helmuth played a huge roll in making poker as popular as it is today. He was the first real supersuperduper star of the sport. Hate em or love him. He was a real pioneer of poker

Pretty sure that 'one' sng where he blinded off was due to tilting from Antonius's incessant raising (& pretty certain he doesn't like the guy). I think he even stated that he didn't care & that he'd fold to 1bb if he had to.
Not sure what Phil's PokerAfterDark track record is for SNG play but I'm pretty sure he's +$'s as I've seen him win on there.

As far as players lining up to play Phil in high stakes cash games 'online'... I didn't even know he plays online (although I've heard rumours that it was Phil playing in one of the WCOOPs (or was it SCOOP?) & was going fairly deep in it). I've never heard anything about him playing highstakes online lately?? Anyone know what his screename is?

... fwiw I kinda like Calitardimus. Even if someone's comments (on Tourney play) are far from ideal, at least it will often generate some discussion that other players will actually benefit by (I'm sure there are some who've learned stuff from reading some of the responses on his threads).
