Hello. I started playing poker by playing freerolls to build BR, and then very micro (10-50 cent) STT's to build a something like BR. Now I have like 25BI for 2NL. I have played some cash games, and they seemed pretty much like early stages of SNG/MTT. Any tips for a player for me who isn't really a newbie, but is transitioning.

To tell you the truth I'm an old MTT guy myself.
Until recently any time I've tried cash I've failed horribly.
But that was because I really have only studied tournament play for 20 years.
Always tried to play it the same.

I've read a lot of theory, and a few books. Learned that playing passive is a huge leak.
Speaking of leaks if you really want to speed up your learning get Poker Tracker.
You can get the low stakes version for $59.
HM2 and Poker Tracker are both great but poker tracker gives you more freedom to customize your hud with minimal knowledge of the software itself.

The main difference between cash and tournaments are stack sizes. With larger stack sizes come larger bets postflop.

In a tournament, you might bet 40% pot. In a cash game, you bet 80% pot. In a tournament, you are so short-stacked that you can go all-in with top pair. In a cash game, you'll go broke if you're constantly stacking off with TPTK and overpairs. In a tournament, there is very little implied odds and chasing draws. In cash games, the whole game is about draws and protecting yourself with large value bets.

To be completely honest, 2NL cash games are a lot tougher than $1 SnG's. There are far less spewy fish in cash games compared to $0.50 SnG's and freeroll MTT's. You will struggle at first. But once you reach $5+ SnG's, you'll find tournaments and cash are both similar difficulty and it comes down to personal preference.

Good luck!

dont think you should bluff much at the micros, just try to value bet and if you see an opportunity where you can vary your bet size then take it....ie if you can steal the blinds with a min raise then min raise, if you have a royal flush and think they will call bet huge

If you gunna do it, take plenty of notes.
Remember who the regs are and try to get as much seat time as you can to get more of a feel for the way cash game roll.
