How much cash are you planning to start with?

I'm tempted to say something outrageous like there is so much difference between Cash and MTT (especially low level MTT) that it is like the difference between Granny Smith Green apples and Washington State Delicious apples and trying to tell someone how to cook with each. Yeah they are both apples, but you can't hardly even cook with a Delicious apple.

But I won't say such an outrageous thing......;)

Bone up on bankroll Management, be sure you have your own personal Tilt Control in control. Read ChuckT's excellent Cash game posts, and if planning on playing Limit, find F Paulsson's threads.

If there is any way you can avoid the lowest level cash games, you should. At approximately the $10 games the play starts getting more normalized. By that I suggest that below that level, players are too prone to gambling as opposed to smarter play.

Thank you Richy for the link (Chuck seems extremely knowledgable Sklansky rich) and DJ as well. I understand your position on low level cash games, but I was considering starting with 100 USD and grinding it out for the experience of learning where my ideal comfort zone is at the moment, and also due to the crap economy. Is .10/.25 NL full ring really a complete gamble?
