Transition between levels

Over the next week or so, I will hopefully be moving up to 10nl. I currently 10 table at my current level and thought jumping straight in and doing the same at 10nl may be a mistake.
What steps do you take when moving up the levels?
Some people have said just incorperate a table or two of the new stakes, while still playing your current level, but what has worked best for people on here?

The whole mixing in some tables of the new type with some of the old never worked that well for me. I know a lot of people do it, just wasn't my cup of tea. I usually just drastically reduce the number of tables I'm playing and go for it. If I were 10-tabling at the old level, I'd drop down to about 6 or so at the new level. This should have the effect of making things seem to move really slowly, giving you time to make quality decisions instead of always being rushed to avoid timing-out on one table while trying to make a decision on another.

I'm also not in favor of mixing in a few tables from the level I'm looking to move up to. That would make it harder, at least for me, to focus as well on noticing any differences. OTOH, moving up to nl10 was virtually seamless when I did it. Although some people feel the quality of play is meaningfully better vs nl5, that was not my impression.

Fire up 4 tables and think through ranges properly. It's exactly the same as 5nl, everyone sucks.
