Hi!

Are there any decent poker training Apps that focus on Texas Hold'em cash games for micros? I started taking my poker game more seriously this year, but I don't feel I improve too much using video training sites...

Thank you !! :)

I searched on the Play Store for "Poker Trainer" and "Poker Training" and got these results:
Poker Fighter - free poker Trainer
Pokertrainer
Insta Poker Coach Texas Holdem

Are any of them decent ?

Hello i am software developer and my hobby is poker. I was searching for such thing and could not get anything useful so i decided to build one myself. My idea is to build bots to play against on a python. Still in progress... will be available in 3 months. Will share to you if you interested. gl

Thanks, it sounds really interesting, share when it's ready!
For the meanwhile I downloaded both Poker Fighter and Insta Poker.
InstaPoker seems very pricey, they charge $4 for only 10 hands ! It's seems like the worst ROI in the world:)
Poker-Fighter has a lot of free content, but most of the content is locked for premium account. I wanted to know if anyone in the forum used their premium account and can vouch for that ? I don't want to waste more money on the wrong direction:)

Just wanted to update that I tried the premium subscription in Poker Fighter for 1 month, and I think this product is amazing. I just wish they will add End to End Pre-Flop to River simulations. Other than that, it really strengthened my basics and was fun to play.

Does Poker Fighter show the number of times specific hands are played, the outcome and the position played? This does sound interesting. I may give it a try. Thank you for sharing! Good luck.

I didn't really understand how does ths Poker Fighter work. After reading this thread it sound quite interesting.

I would love to hear more opions about it because I also looked for good trainer in order to improve my fundamentals.

I saw that the poker fighter requires subscription and it's very cheap so I'll also give it a try.

I think you need to use holdem manager, this is a very good help. And if you choose a workout, you need to look at the coaches. If they have achieved good results, why not pay the tuition. Often, it's just draining money.

I'd love to try this once you've finished. If you're compiling a list, add me to it. I'd love a training game to try. The apps I've found aren't done very well and don't accomplish what I'm trying to.

You learn the most by analyzing your own game. Look at some important hands you've lost or won and try to figure out what you could have done better/ what you did right.

I think the best training is playing against other players... There are various things you need to adapt to in your game and that experience is only provided by thinking (sometimes not thinking) players.

Leak buster is the most comprehensive cash game trainer. It's not a sim, you have to play hands online, but it will pinpoint important leaks and it has tons of training content in it.

Hi,

Poker Fighter is a standalone training app. It doesn't connect to your real online game. You are practicing inside Poker Fighter in its own levels. They have different levels for different positions.

Thanks,I am using Hold'em Manager to track my online game. I was looking for apps to train by myself without risking real money :)

Hi Shorps, thanks for that. As I said in the OP, video training sites are nice, but you can't actually train in them :) Just learn theoretically what to do. This is why I was looking for apps to actually train with :)
