I've been playing 2nl for AGES now and I have like over 100 buyins for 5nl, so I'm easily rolled for it. I mean my rate at 2nl is alright at like 15bb/100 so I should also be able to win easily at 5nl. But for some reason I just don't have the guts to move up properly. Like I kinda imagine the money I could lose in the short term, like it's easy to lose 4BI due to variance once in a while at 2nl which is only like 8 bucks, but 4BI at 5nl is 20 bucks and that loss seems much more to me since I'm only starting out at uni (even though it's just taking a little. I'm sure in the long term I'll be able to easily beat the limit, but right now I'll play a few hands and then quit cos I'm scared to lose it all, and right now I don't really feel comfortable playing with blinds 2.5x bigger than I'm used to.
I was wondering if anyone here could give me some advice/motivation for how I can make moving up seem less daunting? I've been at 2nl for far too long and I know I can't stay there forever!
