In cash games there are times when you're running good and get other players to stick around with worse hands. Things will be reversed at other times and it's up to you to lose less and that's how you become a winning player.

Running bad isn't much of a reason to be afraid to play. If it doesn't affect your mental / emotional state, then there really no reason to stop. If it does affect you, that's something to work on.

When you're playing bad is when you should be afraid to play.

Youre not alone sir.
Cash game is really volatile in nature. Your BR swings up or down very fast.
To offset this, I would advise you to go down stakes or go to stakes that will not hurt your BR much if you lose.

are you a winning player? are you talking about your results or what you think everyone elses results look like.

From what graphs I've seen... No two graphs are the same, lol it sounds stupid because ofc they aren't the same.

Big swings, small swings. Constant upward graphs, big plummeting down graphs.

I think Cash isn't for the weak definetly. It's frustrating but the benefits long term in your game are worth while if u can handle the swings and the emotional battle.

....

I chose cash due to knowing long term cash players can do both tourneys and cash tables well.. I don't want to be restricted and eventually do both full time. Then hopefully if I lose one, I win in the other but the longer I play this god foresakin game the harder I see actually living off the game unless you win big.

I guess you are getting excited when you have strong decent hands and hence overplaying it and trying to get your money in. I will advice you to be a little more patient or cautious while playing such hands which you mentioned.

Try and look at the board texture and think about whether the villain could have outdrawn you and try and slow down in these situation. If he shows strength then have the discipline to laydown your hand. That's the only way you'll be profitable - by inculcating good discipline in your game.

The fact that your BR rises and dips doesn't tell the whole story. For instance, a winning player's BR will trend upward, a losing player's won't.

Relative skill and playing style can also factor in. For example, if you normally beat a game for 10bb/100, running at 2bb/100 for a while is a downswing, but your BR still grows, just slower than usual.
