I have been noticing a lot of newbies trying to copy YouTube tom dwan play and they generally pay off well if you are in a hand with them. Although I enter a hand with them only when I have good holding, I wonder how profitable it'll be if I start getting loose with these self proclaimed pro's.

The swings you experience when playing loose are huge.

Don´t change your strategy if you are being profitable just because you are mad with these popular "pros" videos. Use them in your favour instead

Don't try to copy the pro's but try to learn from them. Make your own decision based on what you have learned. ;)

Here is my input, take it or leave it.

Depending on villains you are playing against, you may need to adjust your strategy on the fly.

Total mouth breathers - straightforward ABC TAG is fine.

However, if you play ABC against better players, you will be very predictable. They will exploit you.

If you want to continue to improve at poker, you should be able to adjust your play style to suit the game dynamics. A well-rounded player should be able to play many styles well.

For example: I have been 3-betting very wide lately against a certain type of players. I have been caught with some garbage hands at showdown. However, opponents give me more action, and they pay me off when my micro-image is that of a loose aggressive player.

Against players that don't think, ABC TAG is just fine. Be patient, and value bet relentlessly.

You could post a couple of hands here to let us know with what kind of players you are dealing with and what kind of situations. When do you experience difficulties? Playing out of position? Maybe you are not 3-betting enough preflop? What stakes do you play? Do they flat 4bets with hands like 56s? Do they have a range depending on their position? You give up easily when you dont flop well enough? A lot of info missing , but anyway if you play micro limits you should stick to ABC poker because these players do not like to fold. They dont like it at all. When you have a strong hand though bet bet bet on flop turn river is the correct line because they can call you with any crap trying to improve.

I have to admit I try and open my range up after watching him play, but if I really want to open my range i'll just play headsup or 6max. I'll leave my nittiness for full ring.
