Alright, i'm considering playing in $10 nlhe cashgames. I am primarily a tourney and sng player. I struggle with cash games. I need advice, perhaps someone i can talk to daily about cash strategies vs tourney. I want to try and slowly build my br up. I am a super nit for the most part. I can get creative but I really hate to see chips, money leave my stack. I really want them to come back. So I guess my question is, bet sizing, for both bluffs, semi bluffs, and nuts. Different situations may come up and I might have questions. Anyone willing to help?

Tight is right at the micro. Don't think about the money, play your best and money will come. Also... put enough volume.
Gl at the tables!

Position, position, position.

In cash games, you must fold ALOT. You can't waste your money seeing too many flops.

Tight is right.

If you are playing with horrible players, fundamental ABC poker is a good strategy. If you are playing with better players, you will have to mix it up some. Good players will spot your tendencies quickly, and exploit them.

As for bet sizing:

Poker is such a dynamic game, there is no good way to answer this. It just depends.

Everything depends on an endless number of dynamics in poker.

Experience is the key. Practice, practice, practice.

Post some hands up in this thread along with stats if you can. We should be able to point out the largest flaws in your game from just these.

That's the reason why I hate cash games. I spend too much money trying to figure out what type of player someone is. I fold to the fish's 3rd pair and donk off to the regs top set. I would like to talk about ranges, bet sizing, calling off against certain players.
I think in sngs it is easier because they don't have as many blinds to stack off and most (sane) players are willing to fIfold their trash
if anyone is willing, let's talking later today or tomorrow. I'm getting ready to go to sleep. crappy day yesterday in tournies but can't complain.
My goal is to steadily increase my roll. even if i just a few dollars a day

Am I the only one who thinks jumping right into 10NL is wrong?

definately is, basically in NL4 (the usual lowest stake) you get lots and lots of fishes

in NL10, play is only slightly better, but you get more better players looking at your tendancies, so if you cant make money against the fishes add better players to the mix and you will soon find yourself losing more then you win
