Tilt can really hurt your bottom line. My advice would be to take a break if you sense yourself tilting. Or at the very least, drop your stakes to minimize the potential damage to your bankroll.

The bad news is that having tilt problems in your game is like fighting a losing battle over and over. The good news is that you can overcome at least 90% of it if you are willing to practice doing nothing but positive self-talk while you are playing. If you do that, before you know it the BADS at the tables will pass through your mind without much reaction from you at all. But there is that 10% and that's the % that shows you do have feelings and there is not a damn thing wrong with blowing up now and then, and still let it go before the next 2 hands come and go. If you lose focus you lose future hands and pots

Live vs On Line

Doesnt effect my live play much but totally ruins me online.

^This makes me think:

On line PvP players (poker/MMO etc etc) forget/ignore that they're playing humans - they treat it like a pure computer game (for example: getting impatient/frustrated because the screen isn't doing what they want, rather than the human the other side of the screen/world). On some levels this comes across as "a lack of respect", for example.

It's possible that your tilt reaction is because your on line opponents (or you) are acting in ways that they (or you) never would to another human IRL.

Summary: slow down and play your game; play the table, not the environment the table's in.

And never forget: suck their eyes out!

Have fun,
Mr Skinny
