hi all, so last month i had my best ever month, i play 95% tournaments and done well through them. however this month i have been dabbling in to Zoom. a couple months ago i would play $25nl and make decent profit whenever i played. then i played a couple sessions of $50nl Zoom over the next wee while. this month i had a look when a pokerstars pro was at $200nl Zoom, the game looked pretty soft so i was tempted to play in it (i am bankrolled for it) however i decided instead to just opt to try $100nl.

the 1st session i tried to keep lower variance, trying to win smaller pots, not really 3/4 betting light or making huge crazy bluffs. i was up the whole session until the last like 5 mins where i lose a big pot and was then even. over the next 4 or 5 sessions i managed to make a small profit of maybe just under $100, which i was fairly happy with given the fact maybe 75% or more of the players are decent or better regs and i was inexperience at it. however, because of high variance- players always 3 betting/ mostly all pretty decent bar the odd fish- i would have some big swings in the space of an hour or two. i would lost 3 buy ins in under an hour then win it back the next session in 15 mins. i only 1 tabled too, to max concentrate and to lower variance (i sometimes 20+ table tournies.)

however this week has not gone well. i haven't played a ton this week but maybe 4/6 days or so, with some shorter sessions. my 100% main game and focus is tournies, i only play Zoom when i have something on that day and can't play tournies, or have a day off and fancy a small session. i played 2 $100nl sessions in the past couple days and done terrible, couple days ago i think i lost 3 buy ins (this game tilts me so much and it was more down to this why i was losing.) if i play my A game i make money at this game but unfortunately these past couple sessions i have been playing a poor E game and kinda tilted too, which isn't good against decent players.

then yesterday i planned on taking the day off to watch Rugby etc and maybe go out drinking at night. i did, but then i decided to play a small Zoom sessions before i went out. i lost just over a buy in at $100nl, switched to two tabling $50nl, made a small profit, then back to two tabling $100nl and lost like 4 buy ins in an hour just playing like a clown. this was one of the most tilted i have ever been because i felt like i just donated it, playing kinda tilty and nowhere near optimal poker. at tournies i hardly ever tilt, but i was so annoyed at myself for burning $500 in like 2 hours or whatever.

i think my strongest game is tournaments, so i am sticking to them. i still think if i play well and don't tilt that i can make money at $100nl Zoom (i did until tilty last 2 sessions.) i am still pissed that i gave away that last night but i am gonna play a full tourny sesh today then not play Zoom at all this week and maybe try again with a clear head the following week.

i don't really have a clear question per se, but was just wanted to get my frustrations out pretty much and ask if anyone else has performed way under their usual level when moving up cash games and lost a decent bit, or whether anyone else has any experience of $100nl Zoom or higher that they'd like to share. ty!

We all have, just got to forget and move on like winning players do. Tilt should not be lasting for multiple days, that surely does not seem good.

nah it didn't last for multiple days it's just that Zoom tilts me haha. played like 9+ hours of tourny's today and didn't really tilt once despite bubbling Sunday Million (which i satellited in to) and getting shafted in other deep runs.
