In live Cash games what factors go into your decision for table selection? How fast do you request a table change if you think you don't have the edge at your table?

I know most people on here probably play online, but hopefully there are some casino regs in here somewhere.

I usually hang around for 30 minutes, if it’s a table of nits I’ll request a table change for sure.

My top five indications to move tables

Three or more people wearing headphones and/or hoodies at the table.

Several people with 4-5 buy in size stacks (if you're not able to buy up to their stack size)

Five or more old men drinking coffee.

Very drunk people. Yeah they're easy money but can often get belligerent and/or obnoxious.

People all staring at their phones. How boring!

This is good! I’m usually so excited to play that when I show up, I have all these things in mind, but ignore it cause of the excitement. I agree these are all things to look out for, now vice versa what do you look for that makes you want to sit at someone’s table? Like, clues that a player is donkikg off chips? Or it is a fun table...

I need to be more disciplined I usually end up “dealing” with the table and adjusting my game when I know I should just move.

What casino do you play at? Do they offer a lot of table options?

Horseshoe in Tunica. Not necessarily a lot when I’m there. Usually a midnight to 6:00 am player. Average 3-6 tables later in the evening average 1-2

Ah I see, I bet the tables are full with regs, I’m in Toronto and I find playing in Vegas is way better, a lot more recreational player and tourist.

Middle aged white guys (MAWGS) chatting it up about sports. Usually they’re fun types.

Touristy looking folks with mixed drinks and poker memorabilia on. Usually they’re the casual player types.

Guys that looking like they just came off the construction site/oil and gas fields, just cashed their paychecks and are looking to gamble.

Anyone who you see coming from the tracks or craps tables, again looking to gamble.

Fresh looking guys that look like they just turned 21.

Yes they are.. say there are 30 ppl in the Poker room most times I know 20 of them.. yea I wish I had choices. Horseshoe is the only casino near me and it’s 40 min away from me. I am not one to travel and play, At least not yet. I play other places if go for like a series tournament or something, but not just strictly to play cash, I stick around my local casino.
