Hi all,

So the last 7-8 months or so I've been a pretty solid winner at 5nl and 2nl full ring zoom games. Although recently I cashed out my bankroll and left $50 to grind up again, giving it a go to a more serious approach to see how much I can build up.

Anyway, I was looking into the 6max tables, since the FR play is just such a nitfest = hard to get paid with good hands. I'm playing 18/15/3 in FR which is on the laggy side, but how would my game do in 6max do you think?

Any major differences except that there's 3 fewer seats and that blind play becomes a bigger deal?

More action and it requires you to be more active and aggressive, although in regards to the action it depends on where you are playing. pokerstars is still a nitfest at 2nl. Best thing to do is come up with some ranges and give it a try with your normal strategy and then come on here to refine it.

BTW what is your Pokerstars name if you don't mind me asking?

Agression is key to 6max imo. Keep asking the questions but without being reckless. Keep tight in EP but open up your range quite significantly in un raised pots from LP. I tend to stay tight in the blinds as well unless someone is opening their button way to often. At 2nl if they are doing this a 3bet every now and then from BB will stop them in their tracks.

This shouldnt be the case, we can profitably flat hands that do well against our opponents range that we may fold out if we 3 bet.

For example, EP opens and we have AQs. If his F3B isnt really low then we should flat to keep in weaker hands like AT, KQ etc etc.

The opposite can be said for hands like QJs against an EP raise. This hand doesnt do so well against our opponents range so its better to 3 bet this hand as a bluff, it flops quite well so we will be able to continue on a lot of boards should he call.

Yeah totally agree, just saying I beleive aggression in 6Max is the best way to exploit.

Playing 18/15 you'll do fine at 6max. If you don't want a nitfest then stop playing zoom and get on the normal tables, 2nl is ridic loose
