I have many superstitious hands, but I never play any of them unless I'm in the BB and get to see the flop for free.

I like the Doyle Brunson (10-2), but it is a HORRIBLE hand. Your best hope is catching a pair of 10's, or two pair.

I also like 43, especially suited. If I'm in the SB and get dealt this I might call an unraised pot, but this is also a pretty trashy hand.

I kinda like 6,7 or 8,9 seem to get paid off alot in limit with those hands. I absolutely hate suited kings if there isn't an ace or queen attached to it!!

I'm a sucker for K-10. If it's offsuit I will call/fold from UTG and early position. If it is suited, I will call anything within reason or sometimes even raise from the button in an unraised pot.

I know K10 is not a great hand, but it seems to really work out for me. Guess I'll go with what works.

I always said that two sevens don't come alone ... If I have two 7s there is a chance that another one will show on the table ...
Anyway ... since then I learned a lot and I don't believe in such things any more ...

 I'm with chic, I like the Doyle Brunsun 10-2. I have a won a few hands with it. Although I'm not dumb enough to play it every time. My least favorite hand is pocket 6s. Even in the big blind, it seems to be useless for me to play 6-6!

For some reason J 4 always gets me. I lose about 70% of the time with it, but I can't seem to get away from it.

Dead Man's Hand = two pair, Aces and Eights (technically two black aces and two black eights).

Wild Bill Hickok was holding black aces and eights when he was plugged by Jack McCall on the fateful day of August 2, 1876, in the charming suburb of Deadwood, deep in the Dakota Territory. Bill's fifth card was the deuce of spades, which must have made for a pretty grim-looking hand. I'm surprised he didn't commit suicide.

J 7. it always hits a peice of the flop, and sometimes 2 pair of even a full house. if its the J 7 of clubs, i always seem to make a flush with it. definaltey the best weak hand.

doyle brunson

I never play the doyle brunson ....I know he won twice with that hand but luck and sense are totally different issues

my favorite ....it never lets me down but always seems that the jack pairs first and the ace hits on the river .....I know it makes me a river rat but only with that hand

I hate QQ and JJ because it is so easy to lose with them even if you do pull of a set

AJ

A bunch of friends and I used to have a regular game going. It was at least 7 or 8 of us playing 5 nights a week. I dont remember how it happened but AJ became a hated hand. Whenever anyone showed it after a showdown or the like we'd all say things like "horrible cards" "should have folded preflop."

And for me personally 23 suited spades seems to do the trick.

Actually my hand changes throughout the play, for instance i noticed that 55 picked up a trip twice earlier when I caught a pp of 5's. Now normally inspite of all the book teaching, we all know that this is not a premium hand especially in limit holdem. I was playing 2/4 so it wasn't all that cheap when there was a triple bet by the time it got to me preflop. Remembering the previous hands that caught I called and picked up the trip and a nice pot. I have also noticed similar things like the flushes are hitting so I will be more likely to play those suited connectors and suited Ace or even K.

Superstitions...

I really, really like A2 suited. Everytime I've gone in with it (about 4) I've hit either a straight or a flush. Wonderful hand, I recommend it to everyone.

:shot: I think that the worst thing you can do is assign value on any hand other than the math odds of winning preflop most of all. But ever sience I herd Daniel Negreneu say on PokerUpdates.com say that his favorite starting hand is 10 7 suited or not (he sayes he always hits at least 2 pair or better) I have found my self playing them in alot of situations . oh by the way I posted a thred called win place or show no reply yet some one check it out any feed back is better than none thanks tazz
