So i was playing at the $1/$2 cash game at Seneca this past weekend. Let me tell you guys about this donk playing in this game with me. Heres the scenario:

Im in the BB with KK. It was live straddled to $4. Around 6 callers and i raise it to $20 straight. I get one caller. The guys has about $30-$40 behind.
Flop:
5 Q 9 Rainbow

He checks and I bet him all in. He thinks for a second and calls. HE FLIPS OVER J6 OFF! and runner runner straights me.

I know Im not Phil Ivey but Im pretty sure in order to call a raise of 10x the big blind out of position with J6 off on a board that you have essentially no outs on, you either have to be a ultra donk or a mega donk

Yeah, ummm the chances of getting 2 runners on you is very low, so you would win that 9 out of 10 times. If you ever see him there again just sit down at that table lol. you just got super unlucky.

That is pretty bad. But you want players like this at your table. They will give you their money.

He was short stacked, and probably didn't expect to win. Many players leave the table with many situations just like this. When they start getting low on chips, they do stupid things. It seems like a last ditch effort to win some chips. Many of these players win pots from miracles with garbage hands, and that is why they do these stupid things.

Just remember: Don't think that your opponents share the same thought process that you have. Some (alot) of players simply don't understand the game like you do. They really have no clue what they are doing.

Assume everyone is a complete donk until they prove otherwise.

Just try to sit at his table whenever you see him as luck is a fleeting mistress.Although it is frustrating to lose like that you really want guys like him around as they pay off over and over in the long run.

Whatever you do, do not and i repeat, do not let him know that he played bad, because i really hope that one day he is sitting at my table with that kind of optimism =)

you do realize that some people just like pissing other people off.

Either he thought that was a good play (not likely) or more realistically, he was bored, and wanted to laugh if he sucked out.
