30k hands in 2nl (14bb/100)
35k hands in 5nl (1bb/100)

About time I start putting some time to study my stats i believe, but I don't know where to go beyond VPIP and PFR and 3bet to be honest!

Anyone can shed some light on this?

It won't take long - study your hands - much more productive.

But as a starting point definitely dig into those stats and do break downs by position and by starting hands. Don't jump to conclusions too quickly. On a review one time I found AKo being a tremendous loser. I immediately assumed i must be way overvaluing AKo or playing it completely wrong or something, but after digging deeper and looking over those hands I discovered it came down to two heads up hands that ended up in shoves. When you lose half the chips in play for an entire tournament a couple times it is going to skew the results a bit.

But for sure - any deviations you find be sure to bring up the applicable hands and review them before committing to a course of action.

Check out Leak Buster, either for HM or PT. It will give you optimal ranges (also by position) and advice on how to adjust to be more profitable.

You can get an idea of where your at with your sample size, but will need at least 50k+ to get an accurate reading of where you are at.

This may sound stupid but is leakbuster something additional to buy or does it come with pt3 I honestly have no clue.

Thanks

Thanks for the response. Position report as below. What I could surmise is that I might be playing far too many marginal hands which I am not good at handling postflop.

Not sure lol

Will take a look at leak buster

It's purchased separately. But you can check out the trial version to get an idea of what it has to offer.

Then move on and look at your starting hands and see if your theory has some merit. There just aren't that many poker players that couldn't benefit from tightening up - so you may very well be on to something.

Leakbuster is solid. There is alot of good content in there. And as someone else mentioned will really help you get your stats into the right ranges.

They have a PT3/PT4 and HM2 version.

Leak Tracker for PT4 will give you some general stat ranges, and will give you a good/bad type grade, but it doesn't go in depth at all.
Leakbuster gives you alot more in depth analysis, and has a lot of features, full length video content, written content, Steps for Preflop, Position, Trouble Hands, Biggest Losses, etc. 42 Filters that you can run, and will pull up hands from your database. They really aren't comparable, and i don't think it was meant to try and compete with Leakbuster. I have even seen the Poker Tracker guys recommend Leakbuster to players that need more in depth analysis.

IMO just the video content alone in the program is worth the price. But there are alot of other cool features.

For me, it has been one of the best things i have used. I actually first bought it for PT3/PT4, but then switched over to HM2 and ended up buying it for HM2 as well. i run it after every session.

I assumed it was basically the same thing. Thanks for correcting me. I'll have to check out leak buster.

Yeah, totally different. Leak Tracker in PT4 you can basically find articles on the internet that will give you the same info. Steven the CEO from PT even says this, and he even bought leak buster.

Leak Buster is going to provide more post flop analysis, and situational analysis plus provide content to adjust properly. Goathair is giving some plugs... nice. :)

No problem! Leakbuster has been probably the biggest things that has helped me since starting to learn cash, so i don't mind recommending to anyone trying to learn. And it goes pretty in depth, so i'm sure it is beneficial for more advanced players as well.

Another 25k hands done. And now its 0bb/100 after I top out at 2.5. This is depressing. I realize I actually don't know how to analyze crap with the given information. Oh noes, maybe buy leak buster tomorrow. I think I might find a tsunami in The poker kitchen tomorrow lol.

Gonna just stick to my 1.5 SnGs now, which I can chalk up a decent roi, but didn't go in further because theres no future in sng

I'm actually running some filters in Leakbuster right now. trying to do a little homework. Had a good session on one site, but other one didn't go too well, so reviewing some hands.
