Is there anything i can read or watch on how stu ungar used to play? I know he was hyper aggressive, but i would like to learn more on what he did on certain situations.

Thanks

I'd be willing to bet that it was the cocaine that made him hyper aggressive :p

Other than his movie Stuey, dunno where you can read about or watchin him, though that movie doesn't really show how he played..

He was hyper-aggressive by that time's standards. My understanding is what he did is not that far out of the norm compared to what you find online today, and definitely not compared to today's high stakes play.

he is not just super-aggressive......he has super high IQ, photographic memory, and very very good observation that're what make him such a good poker player. In fact his best game is gin, nobody ever beat him

There's two televised wsop with Stu that are available, the 1997 and 1981 (you can find them on eBay). They're before the invention of the hole card camera so you only know his cards when he shows.

The '97 is hosted by Gabe Kaplan, it's the series that was held out side on the strip. Can you imagine how hot it must have been?

The '81 is hosted by Curt Gowdy, it's not even close to what you're use to seeing on televised poker today, but it's still fun to watch.

The old WSOP are fun even though they are pretty lame, without the cameras, by todays standards. It' cool to see Doyle, Slim, and Bobbiy Baldwin 20 or 30 years ago. What's amazing is Mel Judah looks exactly the same in '97 as he does today.
