Okay so this is a strange one.
Every Saturday evening, at my local casino (£1/£1 blind structure cash NLHE) , a regular high stakes roulette player dumps all of his winnings, usually several thousand onto the full ring cash poker table. With a £300 maximum buy in, he shoves 300 big blinds pre flop every hand for the hell of it, for an hour or two. Obviously this is the ideal player to be up against , but I wanted to ask what your strategy would be , or calling range would be, 9 handed
Obviously position changes each week but it would be nice to capitalise on a player willing to dump thousands of pounds because he is bored . Looking for any thoughts
Thanks in advance guys , much love

All this depends on position how many players to act after.
if 1v1 this range 55+,A2s+,K9s+,QTs+,A9o+,KTo+
has 65% vs any to shove so something to consider. At this point its not about him its all about other players on the table

If you are last to act everything better than Q7 is a favorite against random cards so it is a matter of how much edge you want and how much you like to gamble.

If the money meant something to me I would probably call pretty tight with pairs 1010 or better. Ax with x 10 or better, And maybe suited Broadways.

The reason for being so tight is that I don't like to gamble in cash games for all my stack - unless I know that the villain come back every night and does the same thing. In that case I would lower my calling range to something more similar to 2tuzai suggested in the post before.

In all other positions (especially EP) you have to play more normal hands since a lot of the rest at the table knows what he is doing and also want his money.

Many years ago, I played almost every day in the live cache. When such a player sat down at our table, we called him sweet. Everyone dreamed of making money on this player. Against this player, I usually played on premium hands. For example, AQ, AK, or high pairs AA, KK, QQ, or JJ. Such cards are not often, but the likelihood that you will earn on them is very high. I had to wait for hours, but I rarely lost.

How effective can a high pair like AA or KK be?

Normally these hands must be raised in a pre flop from the beginning but you must take into account what kind of opponent you are facing if you are aggressive you could do an all in and so that maybe you pay, if you are a player who It is conservative, that is to say, play only good hands, you must make a triple of the big blind and even double it, and then see how the flop develops if you do not get double at the table it would be safe to raise the bet and better if in the Flop is a rainbow and avoid stairway projects or block them before the turn or the river by modulating the bet according to the stack of chips

The most important thing is to understand how each opponent plays so it is easier to be able to take away chips :D:p
