Hi everyone! i play 6 tables for about 5hrs everyday and i can say that first 2,5hrs are always dull w small winnings and sometimes big downswings so i cant really say from the beginning if thats a bad loosing day and i should stop right now. i find it disciplined to always finish a session whether winning big or not but there are days that destroy my month and i want them out of the window.
So i would like to get some practical knowledge on the topic what u guys do and how u recognize a bad day. im thinking about calling it off when im about 4BIs down but im not so sure its gonna work cause many days im turning tables around from -5BIs to +5BIs so if id stopped there my day would be negative.
Please share!

It all comes down to how well you are playing and whether you are tilting imo. 5bi down but still playing well? Keep going! 5bi down and feeling the rage? Stop.

You said there are days that ruin your month, are you tilting by the end of those days?

5 bis is enough for me. If I don't get good cards at least 1 or 2 of these, I generally quit. Sometimes I will go to another site and see what happens there.

When you feel your body is heating up and you are literally sweating from it, it's time to go.

stop losses are stupid imo, as they always refer to buy ins. as previously suggested, instead of focusing on the cashier, try and keep your mental state (ie tilt) in mind. i suggest adding text to your desktop bg with a reminder like 'am i tilted?' that you will keep seeing while you play. i find this helps a lot with reinforcement etc (my bg currently says '****ing fold to 3bs!'

i dont know how many tables you play, your style etc etc but personally, i have at least one downswing of -4BI minimum per session. these generally occur when games are ideal (losing AI's to fish, stacking your top 2 pair bc someones called two streets with a 6high gutshot, etc). therefore, instead of focusing on a $ stop loss, i believe a 'mental stop loss' is a far better approach.

as youll see from the screenshot, my longest session this month was in fact a losing one (which at the worst part, i was down $115), and i lost 4BI right at the beginning of a fair few of these sessions- 3 of 4 of these were my most profitable sessions. i think it really compliments my opinion that youve gotta be able to grind when the tables are ideal for it.

anyway, thats just my 2c. youll have to decide whats best for you.

GL

EDIT: BI's are $10
