hey everyone,

I recently started back online, I live in Pa , and they just passed the online gambling law, and I thought I would get a jump on it.

So i bought in on ignition, first time on anonymous tables, i really dont mind it, im usung Pt4 and have the ignition hand grabber which works well. I know you dont get a large hand sample on players but it hives you a jumping off point.

Quick background, Ive been a winning player @ 20nl on Lock(got ripped off by those bastards). and then was about to move up On americas CR , but I went to the clnk for a year.

So im starting at the bare bottom 5nl, and wow, are the tables soft. its a limp fest most of the time, ive got 1500 hands in my graph looks like a roller coaster, I'm currently down 4bi's , i can tell you one problem is my focus, Im taking advantage of the softies and watching to much netflix while playing lol.

That could be my problem but i wanna know if anyone has any tips or new strategy thats out . im currently going through Applications of NLHE by matt Janda. its a GTO book, there is a ton of info in it.

i know 4bi's is a normal downswing , but i should be blasting through this stake.

Thanks

I can suggest a pretty good site it's called bestpokercoaching they have a lot of free content on there that is pretty good and also the upswinglab is pretty good they have a lot of good free content as well good through there free content as well Doug Polk and the crew are real good poker coaches and have a lot to offer so go through there stuff from start to finish on the upswinglab theres lots to learn from them. Once your done with both those sites you will have a lot of poker knowledge.

If your watching Netflix well playing poker i can assure you only one thing and one thing only. You will never be a consistent winner on the tables. That i can guarantee, and yes 4 buy-in downswings are actually quite normal unfortunately. But if you know your focus is off and you already know what is effecting your game then you know already what your problems are :) No such thing as blasting through stakes lol. Comes down to variance and run good and consistently trying to improve.

Playing Zoom $5NL I can do 1500 hands before my morning dump/ I could give you more pertinent information about that if you like.
It's a larger sample size :)

I agree with your overall points.
I'll argue the specific parameters though. It varies.
For me,,,,4tables , a movie,Chat,and youtube is OK.
1 or two less is slightly better, sometimes..... But too little makes too much focus on one. But that's me.
Anyway, 5 tables I can't do the u tube. Still movie,ok- preferred on the side monitor/tv. I should drop the chat... but I don't.
Find what works for you.
Small stakes online.... the ADD/OCD/PTSD/WTFisWrongWithMe helps ;)
