For each game you want 100bb at least to enter but you don't want to enter with your entire bankroll and it all depends on your life!
Eg. When I was younger I could put 20 euro onto a poker site each week with the money I had and going broke didn't bother me because I could re deposit each week so I didn't need that many buy ins per game I used the rule of 5 buy ins per game so when I had 100 euro in the account I was playing 20nl because I knew if I lost it all it didn't matter, it wasn't my job I could re deposit!
Nowadays I use a rule of 20 buy ins per game! So at 100 euro I can play 5nl etc!

It depends on the type of bankroll management you want to carry out, as well as the volume you intend to dedicate to poker, because playing 100 hands per day is not the same as playing a volume of 1000 hands per day. Naturally, the higher the volume, the more bankroll you need.
In general we can say that there are no exact figures, but some parameters can serve as more probable references:
For super aggressive management or for low-volume, high-variance recreational play: 20-25 boxes would be the minimum standard.
For more managed banking management with average variance: between 30-50 boxes.
And for safer bankroll management: + of 50 boxes.
However, you should know that there is no bankroll figure that guarantees 100% security. There will always be the risk of losing everything and in fact this will need to happen, so that you can gain emotional ability to deal with downswings that will occur again in the future. So the advantage of micro stakes lies in knowing the entire sequence of poker. As for the pure game, only the basic ABC poker application is possible, without special strategies. But psychological preparation is essential here. Because discovering the fluctuations that occur in our bankroll and that many times are the product of variance (other times they are our game errors), prepares us for the deeper rises or falls, which could eventually occur in more higher stakes. In addition, micro stakes are the best place to learn since the cost of making mistakes is less (but it is necessary to observe and take notes of what our mistakes are, to avoid repeating them in the future).
Greetings.

Depends on how good you are. Back in the day the rule was 100 buyins per limit. If you think you beat a level 20 buyins could be plenty. For lowstakes I would suggest 30-40 buyins.

It is not profitable to play 2 and 5 NLHE, because we don't want/need to play millions of hands in these primary stakes.
It is not profitable because the ammount invested is so little, the risk is so little, thus the profits could not be the opposite, the profits are very little as well.
So, when we do play 2 and 5 NLHE we are looking for a "hot streak", some particular sessions where our winrates booms and we make preposterous ammounts of profit, then our first plan is to move up immediately to 10 NLHE, where we can be wondering a little about being profitable, depending on the country you live and the respectives taxes laws.
We are aiming to be luck at those primery limits, so as other have said, we would recommend something that varies from 20 buy-ins to even 100 buy-ins, it all depends on your overall game plan and your own style of bankroll management, if more passive or aggressive.
Even if you are a very good and experienced player you cannot avoid huge downswings at those limits, because absoltutely anything can happen when you are playing with less skilled players, that are just looking down at their hole cards and playing "faced up", almost everytime, but sometimes they surprise us because they are not machines.

Of course, it all depends on your capabilities, but if you have them, start the game right away where you want to succeed or go down a couple (but no more) levels below. And who said that you will merge a bankroll - it is likely that you will immediately become a plus player. However, starting at high stakes, you save valuable time and thus invest in your own poker future.

Take as much money as you do not mind spending on the game. This is a simple rule of the game.

I think the most loose option will be 20 buy-ins, but it is always desirable to have a minimum of 80-100 buy-ins for any discipline. but on the micro, this is not so strict.:)

you can safely start with $ 5, just the main thing is very calm, so as not to drag out and $ 5 does not turn into $ 500

It all depends. You can start with 20 buy-ins and be gucci, you can start with 100 and blow it all. Just assimilate with your flow.

You, most importantly, start playing, and then start the game, you understand what wheels, what limit you are more comfortable and easier to play.
