Stars 200K

Used FPP's to sat. into the 200K on Sunday...from what I've heard, this is quite the donkfest. Other then "get lucky" or "get aces", any strategies for playing such a huge field?

Ya don't do what I did last week, I swear first hand of this tourney, was out when My PP of 10s couldn't beat kj suited because HE wanted to chase his flush draw, even though, he had no odds at all to call, hahaha, dude gl, cuz u are really going to need it

From my experience, its about 60% total donks so its not the hardest tournament to beat, a good player should be able to cash pretty consistently as in any large tourney. Just play it like a low stakes tournament, TAG for the first hour at least, and you should be ok.

Don't play the first 20 minutes unless u have aa kk qq or have ak in late pos and no one placed a huge bet. my suggestion.

i suggest

playing tight early...only play good hands and take advantage of dumb players....middle of tourney open up a bit and get more aggressive.....try some bluffs here and there if u can afford it....then later tighten it back up again and get past the bubble...once u pass the bubble it is all baout first and play tight so that when u get to the final table u can take pots by playing aggressive again cuz players will think u have good hands since u were tight just a few minutes before....make sense?

No experience in this particular tourney, but when stacks are deep (most big tourneys start with >100 big blinds) look to see a lot of flops. Limp a ton unless a lot of players are raising, and even then you can afford to see a flop with a huge range of hands to a 3x raise that deep when your opponents will stack with top pair.

Also don't bluff a ton, and when you hit a hand don't slowplay, take everyone to valuetown.

Thanks for the advice, Zachvac..saw you had quite the finish in the 2x Sunday Mill a couple weeks ago. I don't have a lot of experience in deepstack tournaments, so maybe today I can learn something. Anyone else playing this?

play tight for the first 20 mins or so. stick to AA KK or AK because this early for FPP's most people are just dumping chips in hoping to win a big stack. after about 20/30 mins whenever u feel like u have a decent read on how the tables playing start to open up your game and give them a look that they havent seen. gl.
