How much do you trust your poker instinct? Do you make plays like this that do not have a ton of logical reasons behind them and are usually right?

This hand was uggh, I was done with it on the flop but then he donk bet so I had to raise it to keep repping a strong hand, mainly AK. When he called I knew he was drawing, on the turn I bet again to get him to fold draws and when he shoves the river I just sigh and call thinking I have to be good sometimes right? I was only worried about A high flush draws that got there and a hand like 65cc that had a baby pair he bluffed that beat me. Although if he had a Ahigh flush draw with Arag I do not think he shoves that river? Villain had 63ss

This happened shortly after the Jack high river call and villain saw that play and thought I was just a calling station. I am unsure why I checked turn but figured if he had Qx he may fold to that turn bet so I figured I would just get value on the river since I was in position. Villain had A9

IPlay, sorry if this comes across the wrong way, but I don't see any of those examples as soul reads. You made plays based upon ranges. Or if you didn't, you could have, and gotten the same outcome.

Also, it's pretty results-oriented to look at the individual results, see that they had a certain hand, and say "look, I KNEW he had that exact hand!" Just because he had it that time doesn't mean it was a 100% certainty at the time.

Anecdotal evidence shouldn't carry much weight in a game of ranges and probabilities.
