re: Poker & some vpip over 50 are more dangerous than regular one
I am not an experienced Player but actually seek out Tables where these AggroTards lurk.
The advise you were given, to play TAG on them is spot on.
Today I was in a massive Whale/Fish pool. I actually wrote down some of the Stats for you guys.
(these stats were for just two players at the table. The other one was an Aggro Whale on Steroids!)
I was like WTF? Everyone thinks they are the "Tony G." on Crack of .5NL?
I have discovered that the "Check Raise" and "Check Call" are my favorite choice of bait with these Whales!
(I have been sucked out by them too! Lost AA ALL IN to 2-9 OS! But that is not the majority of the time and it does SUCK when it happens.)
I am attempting to Grind my way up from the Micro Stakes and am not experienced but this seems to work for me in the Stakes level I am playing and it certainly seems to work when used with discretion at the higher Stakes and Tourney's.
The following Video's have really helped me a lot and you might find them helpful too. At the Micro Stakes the players are not thinking a whole lot and you can get away with using variations of this strategy! Repeatedly!
Feel free to PM if it helps you as I would love to know!
It's Daniel Negreanu teaching the "Johnny Chan Play."
Also, here is a good Vid by Negreanu regarding "How to Deal with Maniacs" (and Profile them!)
