re: Poker & So I just started playing again
So you have been quite successful in MTTs but not so much in cash games...is that right?
If you are new to cash games the best thing to do is to start at the bottom and work your way up the stakes using proper bankroll management. If you jump into playing 10NL for example, that $100 roll will probably be gone pretty quick.
There is a lot to learn if you want to beat cash games, but when you can beat a level (even 2NL ), cash games are a very good bankroll builder.
As for leaving the table with a big stack, it's not necessary, especially if everyone else still has only 100BB because that's what the effective stacks your playing for are. But if there is another big stack be cautious of playing big hands against them with good but not great holdings.
