I need a little help please.

When dealt a small pair like 33 and the flop comes out with a larger pair and then over card does it make sense to play any further? I'm speaking of cash games only.

Example:
Hero wakes up with 33
Flop comes out 99A

Since the percentages of me catching the full house are slim, I'm inclined to either fold or bluff my balls off. Of course, when bluffing 4th and 5th streets can do me some real damage.

imo the default line is check fold yes.
Secondary line is CB and if called give up.
Other lines are there but not often.

Yeah, you pretty much just give up in this spot when an opponent shows any interest at all. If you have the best hand, you're going to win a tiny pot. If the pot is anything but tiny, you are very unlikely to have the best hand.

A small pair isn't usually worth anything unless you flop a set. You might be able to bluff villain out of the hand, but the Ace is a bigger worry. I'm NEVER chasing the third 3 at this point.

if I don't hit the set with a small pair, then I surrender. In such flop, you can sometimes bluff by representing an ace. Bluff depends on the opponent, it's good if he is tag.

If the flop does not have your card type 2 -3-4 for the full house set and the players aggressively give the money further, it is dangerous to play and invest money in the bank, sometimes the bluff goes but it's not always better to fold your cards when you do not have a card on flop!

This is an easy fold. When small pairs miss the set on the flop, they are pretty much useless. That's one reason I love seeing flops with them. When they hit, they are well disguised, and when they miss, they are an easy fold.

Personally I would never bluff at this board, you block nothing, your draw is slim, you probably have almost nothing invested in the pot at this point, and a weak ace probably wont fold because it could easily be trying to push him off a chop.

That being said, given the proper action preflop and a flop like K99, in a heads up pot, I dont mind continuing. You probably have the best hand here a lot of the time on a board like this. A lot of this comes down to being familiar with your table and understanding your villain's range based on preflop action.

for me it depends on your table position but hey theres two over card in A,9 and players holding maybe an A would trap check so "know when to fold'em" folding decent hands is a skill in fact folding itself is a skill. M
